| An
industial fan was borrowed from a local ventilation firm. The groupes
of school children were given the option of adjusting the rotor blades
in pitch and number. This was in order to optimise the generator
output. The gearbox ratio could also be adjusted. The DC motor used as a generator needed a lot of revs to light a low voltage torch bulb. |
